Meet the Program Coordinator

Welcome to GoSmartAir, My name is Chris Polek. I am the Program Coordinator and General Manager of GoSmartAir’s FAA Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate.

I got my start in Aviation as an Aircraft Mechanic in the U.S. Air Force. At the end of my service time, I settled in the Harrisburg, PA area and achieved my FAA Mechanic Certificate. For the next 24 years, I worked full-time as an FAA certified aircraft mechanic on both civil aircraft and as a civilian contractor for the Army National Guard working on their VIP transport aircraft. I have trained at the local flight school based at Capitol City Airport in New Cumberland, PA and worked my way through the pilot certification, achieving my Commercial Pilots Certificate as well as my Certified Flight Instructors Certificate. I have been able use my knowledge as a flight instructor to help my fellow members of a flying club hone their pilot skills and maintain proficiency as well as add on additional ratings to their pilot certificates.

My background in maintenance has allowed me to successfully manage GoSmartAir’s fleet of aircraft as well as successfully complete hundreds of hours of flying and get firsthand knowledge of the benefits of using private aircraft for business travel. I truly believe it is not a luxury; it is another tool in the toolbox for businesses to use that happens to have some luxurious upsides. My goal is to provide a first-class service to our clients, I strive to ensure our airplanes are in the safest working condition and our clients receive the smoothest flight possible.
